Enter each player's bid and the tricks they took, and the score keeper scores the hand: contracts and sets, bags and the 10-bag penalty, nil and blind nil. It starts with the standard rules (game to 500, nil ±100, blind nil ±200 when 100 behind, −100 for every 10 bags) and lets you switch any of them to your table's house rules. It saves the game in your browser, so it survives your phone going to sleep.

How the score keeper scores a hand

  • Partners’ bids add up. If the team takes at least its bid, it scores 10 points a trick bid plus 1 for each extra trick, and the extra tricks go on its bag count. If it takes fewer, it’s set and loses 10 a trick bid.
  • Each nil is scored on its own: +100 if the player took no tricks, −100 if they took any. A failed nil’s tricks don’t help the partner’s bid, but they count as bags. Blind nil is worth 200, and is offered only when the team is 100 or more points behind.
  • Bags: every 10 bags cost 100 points, and extra bags carry over.
  • Winning: the first team to 500 wins, and a team at −200 or below loses. If both cross a line on the same hand, the higher score wins. An exact tie means another hand.

These are the standard rules, the same as the game on this site. The scoring rules explain each one with worked hands, and the house rules page explains every switch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the score keeper handle nil and blind nil?

Yes. Choose Nil or Blind nil as a player's bid. Each nil is scored on its own: plus 100 if the player took no tricks, minus 100 if they took any (blind nil is worth 200). Blind nil only appears in the bid list when the house rules allow it, by default when the team is at least 100 points behind.

Can I change the rules to match my table?

Yes. Open House rules at the top to change the game target, the lose floor, the set score, the nil value, what a failed nil's tricks count for, when blind nil is allowed, the bag penalty and Board. Changing a rule rescores the hands you've already entered.

Is my score saved?
