This policy explains what SpadesBid collects when you visit the site, play the game or use the score keeper, and why.

No account needed

You can read every page, play the game and use the score keeper without an account. We don’t ask for your email address or any other personal details.

What the game and the score keeper store and send

  • In your browser: the score keeper’s scores, team names and house rules are kept in your browser’s local storage on your device. Nothing from the score keeper is sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes it.
  • The game: the game is run by Rare Pike (rarepike.com), our sister site, and while SpadesBid’s own table is being built, the game page shows Rare Pike’s spades game inside this page. When you play, Rare Pike’s game may store a player ID and the name you type in your browser, and it sends your moves (and your player ID and name) to its game server, which deals the cards and runs the computer players. It keeps game records and win and loss counts by player ID. Other players at your table see your name. Rare Pike’s own privacy policy covers that game.
